SRK keyboards are ready to be connected and played right out of the box, with virtually no setup needed. Simply connect the keyboard to your computer using the included USB cable and the keyboard will appear as a simple MIDI device, with one input port and one output port.
Select the SRK keyboard as the MIDI input device and your software will receive notes and controller data from it. Some control functions, such as MMC, will require manual mapping (refer to your DAW's manual for instructions). In addition to its robust control feature set, versatile I/O options are another strong point for the newest Stage Right MIDI controllers. The USB port not only allows for the control of software instruments in a connected computer, but also acts as a MIDI to USB interface when the MIDI port is used.
All SRK keyboards can be powered by the USB connection or using an optional 5 VDC power adapter (not included). Finally, two assignable pedal connections round out a complete set of I/O options missing from other comparable controllers.
